The cabal of Important is the name given to a plot organized May 27, 1643 by Francois de Vendome, Duke of Beaufort and Marie de Rohan, duchess with the help of many great powers at the time [1]:

-César de Vendôme Beaufort father and eldest son of Duke Mercceur
-Bourdeille Claude, Comte de Montresor
-Charles's Aubespine, marquis de Châteauneuf
-Louis Asterac of Fontrailles
-Henri II to Guise, Duke of Guise
-The Duke of Epernon
-Duke Elbeuf

The plotters would rob supporters of Richelieu, Conde House in particular, of all their property and privileges and recover their lost load time of Richelieu. Indeed, the hill was red, for example, forced Cesar de Vendome to abandon their land to Britain in 1630.

The cabal is a returnee from Anne of Austria's new prime minister, Mazarin, considered too hostile to the nobility and secondly, to sign a separate peace with Philip IV of Spain.

Begun as a plot of Court, the matter escalates a conflict of correspondence between the Duchess of Beaufort Montbazon party and the Duchess of Longueville family of Conde. The first received orders to retire to his estates [2].

Beaufort, furious, plans to assassinate Mazarin then replaced by a close, Augustin Potier, Bishop of Beauvais. He instructs his followers to this action Hazardous Francis, Lord of Beaupuis Campion and brothers, Alexander and Henry [3].

Mazarin quickly wind of the conspiracy; Beaufort was arrested Sept. 2, 1643 and imprisoned in the dungeon of the Castle of Vincennes, where he remained five years. Chateauneuf, the Vendome and the duchess are recorded in the provinces.
